2019 Suzuki Vitara facelift enters production in Hungary
The 2019 Suzuki Vitara has entered production in Hungary. The facelifted model will go on sale in Europe soon.

The new Suzuki  Vitara features minor improvements in styling, performance, convenience and safety. Visual upgrades to the exterior include redesigned front grille and lower front bumper, new 17-inch alloy wheels and tweaked tail lamps with LED lighting. There are two new colour choices: Solar Yellow Pearl Metallic and Blue Metallic.

Inside, soft pads for the top cover of the instrument panel, tweaks to the instrument cluster including the addition of a 4.2-inch colour LCD display and new silver trim are the changes.

With the mid-cycle update, Suzuki has discontinued the M16A 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Two options are available for the new model: the new K10C 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol and the K14C 1.4-litre BoosterJet petrol. The former is a turbocharged three-cylinder unit that produces 82 kW (111 PS) and 170 Nm (with 5-speed manual transmission)/160 Nm (with 6-speed automatic transmission) of torque. The latter, a turbocharged four-cylinder unit, develops 103 kW (140 PS) and 220 Nm of torque.

On the safety front, Suzuki has replaced Radar Brake Support (RBS) with Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) that uses a monocular camera and a laser sensor to determine if there is a risk of collision with a forward vehicle or pedestrian. Other new safety technologies include Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Traffic Sign recognition, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
