The BMW M3 And Alfa Romeo Giulia QV Get Matched Up One More Time
Last time was almost too close to call, so let’s try and see which car wins this time.

Our epic soirée with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio may have already come and gone, but the car is only now beginning to leave ripples in its wake as the general automotive community gets to drive it and benchmark it against the previous leader of the pack, the BMW M3. To be fair, we've already seen the Giulia compared to an M3...twice, with one of the videos being a Motor Trend Head 2 Head. Now the Giulia is back behind Motor Trend cameras to see if the last comparison was accurate.

And so is the BMW M3 Competition Package for that matter, so of course it's time to see if the Giulia's previous win against the Bimmer can be replicated. When the last race occurred, the Alfa Romeo beat the BMW by 0.39 seconds around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, hardly perceptible but enough to secure a victory over the German incumbent.

This time around, the Alfa Romeo actually ends up losing to the BMW although the fact that it only does so by 0.02 of a second at Thunder Hill Raceway mainly confirms that the cars are evenly matched. In this segment, where lap times are favored but not of paramount importance, it's the way a car makes the driver feel that's most important. To Jason Cammisa and Randy Pobst, the clear winner is the Alfa Romeo for the simple fact that it makes driving and life itself so much more fun. After driving the car ourselves, that's a conclusion we can certainly agree and live with.
