Ford Everest Wildtrak Special Edition Returns to Australia. You Need to Hurry Up, Though
The local division of Ford from the Land Down Under believes the Ford Everest Wildtrak off-road SUV was a very popular choice for consumers, so they're bringing it back as an intermediate model year special edition.

Ford Australia is set to reintroduce the Everest Wildtrak to the range for a limited time as a 'MY25.25' special edition available for a limited time – or why supplies last. The third-generation Ford Everest of the mid-size SUV produced since 2003 for the Asia-Pacific region was introduced in 2022 based on the Ford T6 platform – it's thus related to the latest Ford Ranger and the second-generation Volkswagen Amarok pickup trucks and acts as the counterpart to the American Ford Bronco.

The original Ford Everest Wildtrak model was introduced in early 2023 as the SUV counterpart of the Ranger Wildtrak to markets like Thailand, New Zealand, and Australia. Now, the variant is making a comeback in the Land Down Under. However, interested customers must hurry and place an order because the rugged, go-anywhere SUV will be available in Australia in just 950 examples!

In 2024, Ford saw its Everest mid-size SUV hit record sales and growth – it was the country's sweetheart among large SUVs and also the sixth best-selling vehicle overall. "Following last year's sales and the sell-out success of Everest Wildtrak in 2023, it made perfect sense to bring the badge back to Australia," said George Thomas, Everest Product & Retail Marketing Manager, Ford Australia. "For the past 16 years, Wildtrak has been synonymous with the Ranger brand, and once again, we are offering customers in Australia the opportunity to enjoy the same legendary reputation as the Ute, but in a practical and luxurious SUV body style."

Ford offers the Everest Wildtrak solely with the 247 hp and 600 Nm/443 lb-ft of torque 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel, and power is sent to a full-time 4WD system through a ten-speed automatic transmission. Its maximum towing capacity is 3,500 kg (7,716 pounds), and the optional Premium Towing Pack includes the tow bar as well as an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Blind Spot Monitoring Trailer Coverage, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. Production of the MY25.25 Ford Everest Wildtrak has already started, and orders placed will be fulfilled beginning in the first quarter of the year.

The highlights of the special edition include 20-inch machine-faced alloy wheels or no-cost optional 18-inch alloy wheels with AT tires, TPMS, Wildtrak 3D badges, bespoke Wildtrak front grille and bumper, an optional exclusive color (Luxe Yellow), a panoramic roof and power blind, 360-degree camera, Zone Lighting system, 400-watt power inverter in the rear of the center console, plus leather-clad front seats in black with Wildtrak orange stitching.

The manufacturer's list price (MLT) includes GST and starts from AUD 76,950 – which translates to a little over $48k at the current exchange rate. The Premium Towing Pack is an additional AUD 2,900 or $1,815.
